Our Process

From concept to completion.

Home Sweet Home team members in hard hats and hi-vis vests talking on a building site

Are we right for YOU? From the get-go, you’ll get facetime with a company owner, our lead draftsmen, and one of our stellar client reps. They’ll answer any questions you have before you decide if we’re the best fit for your custom home building experience.

If we feel like a good fit, then the fun begins! Come to us with ALL your ideas. We want to see your Pinterest boards, Parade of Home photos, Insta reels, and anything else that inspires your vision. We’ll translate those into a set of building plans together to make sure you get EXACTLY what you’re looking for.

Our team specializes in maintaining your vision whilst keeping you within your set budget. We’ll value engineer everything we can so you get the most out of your money.

We will modify, readjust, and apply your feedback until it’s PERFECT. Once you’re happy (and excited), it’s good to go to our structural engineer. Those plans will be hard bid to our suppliers who will give us your guaranteed fixed price. PS That number will always be less than the preliminary bid we give you during the design phase.

Once contracted, we’ll submit for city building permits and start digging. Most homes finish between 5 and 7 months from pouring the basement floor.

Throughout the process, we’ll stay in communication with weekly updates, photos, and regular walkthroughs. Rarely are final plans perfect, which is why we empower you to make changes along the way. We will pivot as necessary to ensure you get exactly what you’re looking for.

It’s been quite the journey, but you’ve never been alone. The whole way, your client rep has been by your side–and that doesn’t change at closing. They’ll help finalize everything from financing to closing.
